"Štramberk Trúba tower" is the last preserved part of the former castle dated from 13th century, the conception of which is mostly connected with an aristocratic administration of the territory or with a boundary ground defence. The Trúba is a cylindrical tower, masoned with a quarry stone, covered in a cylindrical shingle roofing. The stony masonry is breached by several slotted embrasures and on the topmost storey by four square windows. Under this storey there is a secondary wooden ambulatory. There is a metallic spiral stair-case adjoining the south-western side of the tower which enables entering the tower interior. At the beginning of the 20th century the tower was reconstructed according to Kamil Hilbert´s project. This adjustement which is not consistent with the principles of modern care of historical monuments, holds some romantic elements. Even the stone walls which surround the area were modified - masoned and heightened. Two gates were newly constructed. There is a brazen memorial tablet of Dr. A. Hrstka embeded to the fortification by the sculptor František Juráň.
